Performance enhancments (petrol)
« on: April 05, 2005, 19:29:39 »
Seeing gords has got a nice topic going with regard to getting a bit more ooomph out of his tdi I thought I'd do the same for those of us running V8's

Any Simple mods to do on a twin SU setup that wont cost the earth?
Is there a better way of plumbing the air pipes in so i can use a normal airbox and filter etc (will make it much easier to plumb in a snorkel)

Over to you guys..............

Strap a few on either side and then find a way of knocking the top off of all of them at the same time - DIY drag racer

Oops, sorry Steve

I don't know much about performance tuning (obviously) but I would have said putting in an airbox is not going to help!? Could you fit larger SU's and/or better air filters (K&N)?

Well.. there is plenty you can do to a V8 to give it more oomph.. but none of them are all that simple.

Bets bet is to make sure it is tuned and timed properly.

They're heavy enough & rather thick-walled.

I believe the 're-fill' cost is about £3.00 (we exchange after using circa 90,000 litres though)
