Engine?
« on: November 06, 2009, 13:30:31 »
Hi all

Is there much difference between a 200tdi and a 300tdi?

Reason being my 200tdi is smoking a lot and it's a bit bluish!  Don't want to do anything yet but might be cheaper when it happens to swap it for a 300tdi as there is more around (I hope)
Would it drop in the same place, would it marry up to a LT77 box etc.

Cheers
Dave

Get a 200TDi Disco engine strip it back to the block and put the defender parts on, you may need to swap a stud or two around.

300 will marry up 2 lt77 box no probs but then u gotta change the rad intercooler pipes exhaust an change chassis mounts as engine mounts different so easiest option is 2 get your engine reconned or as said above get a disco engine an put your defender bits on it
