MOT joy!!

By sheer miracle mine passed first time last year with no problems at all, very happy with that as its fairly rare for a series vehicle and I had done a fair bit of engine work on it in the months prior to the test.

:(biglaugh): I took HL for MOT this morning, and I must admit  I was expecting a reasonably expensive list of failed items; so I was very relieved to receive a notice with just one item on it!!!  :(biglaugh):  She only needs the N/S/F track rod end replacing!!! Am I a happy bunny or what??  :(biglaugh):

Just been the same today for me.
Took the money pit in for service/MOT and was expecting list longer that me wheelbase was delighted to say the least when only failed on
 
*windscreen washer pump not working(fail's under visabilty)
*faulty indicator
*no visable chasis number
(plate was there when I bought her but has rusted off)
had some other work done inc new diesel tank and various bits and pieces I just couldnt be bothered with doing
total
£400 parts labour VAT etc

so was quite happy with that

I've never had a little blue sticker!!  

Put a but of white masking tape on the inside of the sun visor, or somewhere else you can see it, write the mot date on that

Its the way I used to find the easiest.  Nowadays I try to get the mot to run out a monther after the tax, as you get a reminder for that anyway, it gives you time to get it ready for the mot, and after taxing, the only down side is that you have a lot of bills at one time, the other one is the insurance, thats normally 6 months after the tax
