What's the problem with it? They are pretty easy to do yourself. David Bowyer supplied some parts for mine and I built it up myself. All mine needed was the drum bearings replaced and a good clean up.

The only thing I would say is, don't dismantle the brake unless you have to. If it's currently working fine then leave well alone.

If you wanted to have a go yourself, I'm more than happy to give you some pointers. I'm over near Attleborough.

well in actual fact, there isnt nothing wrong with it,now and then it wouldnt stop running when i let go of the trigger, but i took the wonder lead to pieces, and it was 2 of the wires had rubbed through, touching each other right near the plug,so i just cut them back a bit,and now its fine, but its handy to know where to go when you do need bits, and handy to know people like you for offering to help, lol, thanks very much mate, jim :D

David Bowyer often just passes back the contact number for superwinch to "save time" and you can order parts from them directly.

yeah, not a bad idea, all though,it was serviced before i bought it second hand, before that,it was used to pull a boat out of a river twice, then sold it to me,so it hasnt been used much by me at all,so i wouldnt of thought there would be much water or mud in there at all,i will look after it though, cause ive never had a winch before this one,i couldnt do without it now, brilliant bit of kit, :D
