noticed an extra dark patch on the drive today looks like the flippin brake master cyl has decided to start leaking just to spite me :(  any one had any success resealing these or is it best to fit another one?

I'm always paranoid about brakes and always replace them rather than re-seal them.

That said, the repair kit is a lot less than the cylinder.
