London over run with Landies?

When I bought my 110 County it was from a chap in Kent who only had it for commuting into London (worked for the Telegraph). I thought it seemed a strange choice but he explained that it was exempt from the congestion charge because it had more than 9 seats. Wasn't entirely convinced of this myself but eventually looked it up and it seems this is right :lol: Just need to fill this form in http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/discount-vehicles-nine-or-more-seats-form.pdf

So only ever going to the Capital on the annual pilgrimage to Twickenham I was wondering if Londons streets were now crawling with old 110 Counties (obviously the newer ones without bench seats won't comply)? If not perhaps this needs promoting a bit more so I can sell the old girl at a profit ;)

I think once I've done my veggie conversion a few FREE trips to the City are needed just so I can stick my fingers up at Parliament and the Mayor :twisted: . Maybe some stickers down the sides saying 'I've paid bu@@er all fuel tax and you can stick your congestion charge too!!!' :dance: :dance: A good days work I reckon :thumbup:

Yes but once you have used 2500 litres of veg a year,you will be paying 17p a litre on top of your veg price!

I work in a congestion zone part of London (Westminster) and I have to say I rarely see any Land rovers other than Range rovers, usually sports (although the odd big black one, in a convoy of other big black ones whit police bikes at the front). Could not believe the number of them in Chelsea when I was over there a while back, like black cabs they were!!!!!!

Well I guess some people just don't feel the need to save £136 a month  :roll: Mind you I reckon the black bullet proof Rangies with the out riders probably don't pay the Congestion Charge either ;)

Actually had a look in one of the armoured Rangies when I met General Sir Richard Dannatt (just the circles one moves in :lol:) Tough beastie it was but not as tough as the two shady looking blokes in the front seats :shock:
