ive got some money coming to me in january so im after a new toy i fancy a hybrid is it safe to buy one say off ebay and not end up having it crushed 6 months later by the old bill because its not had a sva test will it be ok if its been built a few years or will it still need a sva

The only way is to examine it yourself and check the paperwork thoroughly, but remember that it is extremely doubtful that a coil sprung Series LR built in the last 10 years is legal.

thats wot im worrid about ive seen some nice trucks for sale rangie chasies axels 90 bodywork with a historic reg off a old 2a can that be any good

Unless you can get WRITTEN confirmation from DVLC that the vehicle is totally and legally tax exempt, then I would walk away.
