Remeber it well. Seen Kiss, Rush, Rainbow, Styx, Black Sabbath and Bon Jovi there in the 80s.

It's basically a great big cow shed.

Just checked and it's alomost twice as far.  Unless you live on the M6 corridor it's a bit of a sod to get to, I wonder how many others won't bother this year, the cost of tickets plus the fuel and I won't have any cash left to spend :-o

Nowt to do with them outgrowing the venue either (any one notice how much dead space was between the stands this year).

More to do with the start finish straight for the moto GP which would be straight through the hall. Donnington didn't get it though, so moot point, but 4x4 show had already booked the new venue.
