Do a search on google for some of the jap stuff - truly 'marmite' bumpers you could park a disco on-  and rear wings that wouldn't look out of place on a 747!!! :-#

I know a guy who used to do resoration and used to get a lot of custom cars in for paintwork (some after the DIY respray went wrong) and he's told me some right stories about custom cars.

One of my favourites being the mkIII escort van with a wrap over spoiler, made from cardboard and bodyfiller :lol:

i have had fords in for MOT with cardbord and filler/fibreglass as wheel arches and chassis /sills

Brings back memories of someone I went to college with. He had a Mk1 Escort that he'd built a plywood body 'kit' onto to make it look like a Martini Porsche. Huge arches and spoiler, and a massive rear overhang with a wing. Problem was it was only an 1100 IIRC and it wouldn't pull all the weight  :lol: So after all the work, he ripped it all off again!
