Windscreen washer Jets replacement
«

Have done a search but found nothing on this but suspect its an old recurrring issue.
My washer jets (Twin one pice) on my 98 truck cab were loose so I had a shufty and it looks like they have broken loose. Have bought a replacement to fit that seems to be in one piece with a brass nut and a rubber washer so the question is .... have I got to take the dash surround to bits to be able to replace the offending item? I have had a look under the ashtray but access looks tricky from here.
All help and tips very much appreciated.

I've done it via ashtray (or I should say I trained my mrs with her small finger to do it )
But you can take the top panel section off the dash without too much hassle (not as bad as it looks) ... say about 15 minute max via a few various sized x head screws. Useful to know how to do this so that changing/repair the wiper mechanisms wont be so daunting the future.

I managed to do it through the ashtray hole too but would say that time wise there'll be little difference between taking dash to off ad having good access as there will be by fighting and struggling through the ashtray hole.

Hello mate,
I had the same problem,
I just dropped a load of superglue all over the threads and held it until it stuck where I wanted it.
O.K. now!
Just watch you don't glue your sausage fuingers to the washer!
