what petrol engines fit in an l200

a mate has a mk3 51 plate l200 and loves the truck totaly but he hates the derv lump so he asked me to find out what petrol engines would fit
he said that he would like to go for a v6 3 litre lump from a paj/shogun but would it fit straight in  or will he have to mess with wiring looms?

i think alot of hassle wiring wise but the l200 does come with a 3.0  petrol lump its an imported triton but basically an l200 seen some on ebay or autotrader now and again and the good think is he could run it on gas

hmmm did you need a conversion plate was it a lot af hastle?
