Central locking and alarm system
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:27:16 »
I unlocked my Discovery today, using the keyfob, got in drove to where I was going, didn't bother to lock it, got back in it, drove home, got out, tried to lock the doors using the keyfob.............It locked then immediatley unlocked and just to be a pain set the alarm off as well, It did this everytime I tried it.
So I opened the drivers side rear door locked the drivers door from there, which then operated the central locking, and then shut the drivers side rear door..........all was well.

But then I had to try and unlock it by the fob....It unlocked no problem, but then I had to do the manual locking thing again.

The remote keyfob is the two button type, alarm is the factory fitted jobby and the car battery was disconnectted for about five hours yesterday.

Any ideas?

thanks
Gary.
it's a mud thing............you wouldn't understand !!

My LSE does somehting like that when it's not been used, the N/S front door lock is a bit sticky and doesn't lock properly so the central locking unlocks again but the alarm stays on.  Try spraying all the locks with WD40 and using them a few times before locking with the fob.
