Passed the MOT again, but . . . . .
« on: January 22, 2010, 18:16:01 »
Well, after another year she's passed her MOT again

But, my very friendly tester has informed me that she won't do so next year without the chassis being looked into. It would seem that the O/S/R of the chassis has been bubbling away and, without intervention, will perforate pretty soon
So, I intend to wait for warmer weather and then get the grinder out on it to see how bad it really is . . . . . . .

What on the disco?

Yes mate. Not very good for a 12 year old car. But a bit of welding will sort it out.

Land rover products British steel and "workmanship" gotta be good. Funny muddyboots's hilux is the same year as my rrc but his is mint underneath and has build quality that puts lr to shame. Buy British and a good welder!!!lol

i does seem to be lr's are bad for rust but white vans seem to be worse though. 3 yr old white vans seem to have rust all over them.

Wheres the fun in owning a car that you dont have to worry about  :P. British cars made for people with tool boxes
My wife can't wrestle but you should see her box.
