Yes, I think your GP is the best bet. Has it been completely absorbed or can you still see a little of it? If you can still see a bit, then you may be able to push it out through the bottom, but it'll make your eyes water a bit. Get some latex gloves as a) it'll be cleaner and b) you can get a better grip on it.

It's been caused by either the bar being too short,or you may have had a cold or infection that's caused your tongue to swell a little, absorbing the ball. Once it starts absorbing it's difficult to stop it. Once it's out, you'll really have to leave it out and have it repierced once it's all healed up. In hindsite, seeing your piercer before it got this bad would have been sensible.  [-X

tbh i had no idea anything was wrong till i went to change the bar the other week
ive spoke to a few people who think the bar was to short for me hence why its healed like you say when it swelled up after having it done

If it's swollen up and absorbed the bar after it's been pierced then your piercer is at fault. It should have been pierced with a very long bar, then changed to a shorter one after it's healed - 10-14 days later. However, if they're not piercing properly in the first place, then there's not much point going back to them for advise!
