Can you pull the connection on the pump stop solenoid to see if it stops? I don't know about 300's, so not sure how accessible it is.
Well, sod's law dictates that the problem has not occoured again since I asked the question! I think what I'll do if it does happen again is to leave it running and disconnect the wire to the shut-off solenoid to see if it switches off. If it does then I guess it's the ignition switch (still sending a signal when it's off) and if it doesn't then the solenoid must be sticking.Someone told me that they can suffer from swarf in the pump which affects the solenoid. Only question is why on earth would there be swarf in the pump................. sounds expensive!Well, as with anything 'Defender oriantated' I may find that it was just a momentary blip, if not then I'll report back!
