This is the new proposed ferry crossing for the river Clyde , doesn't it look a bit top heavy ?

All they've done is "mirrored" the second half, probably specially for the Glaswegians it is aimed at.
It is one of the suggestions to replace a Clyde ferry that is being withdrawn. The bus originally comes from Holland or Denmark.

It might not be too bad - if you look at how high up the sides the water comes it has a fair bit of bus below the waterline to act as a keel.

I'd be more worried about having all that glass close to the waterline in the event of a collision.

Bizarre.
:-k would elf n safety require life jackets to be present and ready for each passenger and access to adequate life rafts?

I think they would, yes - I know the Bristol Harbour Ferries have to carry life rafts/rings and probably lifejackets too.

That's the other thing that would worry me. I wouldn't fancy trying to get out of that in a hurry, especially considering how long it seems to take some people to get off a bus normally!

I wanted a DUKW when I was a kid thought they where the bee's knees and wondered why everyone didn't have one, had to settle for a matchbox one.
