300tdi Air filter to wing - help
« on: March 05, 2010, 20:23:26 »
My 300tdi 110 has no ducting from the canister air filter on to of the engine top the wing mounted intake vent, can only assume someone removed it in the past though god knows why.

Anyway, my question is what is normally there please? Is it a rubber flexi tube or a rigid plastic section? Need to sort something as it is no good really like this with the open tube pointing down to the floor and thus open to water/spray etc

the wing fitting has a plastic manifold to which is fitted a short rigid push fit section (crap) and flex hose, this goes down to a large T piece mounted on the bulkhead which has a flappy drain valve on the underside. Other side of that is the flex hose which fits to the intake of the aircleaner housing.
