Insurance renewal doubled!
« on: March 17, 2010, 17:05:51 »
I was insured last year with Lancaster on the Range Rover. I didn't have any no claims last year due to having a trade policy for years. The Premium last year was £389, the renewal just came through.......................£895!!!!
I just called them and was told that it was because the company I was with last year only insure upto 5000 miles a year and I wanted 6k, and they require I have a minimum of 2 cars at the address!
Any ideas anyone? I am 40 in October, 1 years no claims now and the car is a 97 HSE with LPG being the one and only mod.

Also try NFU 01954 210007. I only pay £84 for my hybrid on a limited miles policy.

<<<>>><<< MODS OR ADMIN <<<>>><<<>>>

I've been on the phone to Frank Pickles this afternoon. I admin a forum as well, and they are about to start doing 'members club' insurance, so I'm getting a call back from their MD on monday to discuss discounts.

Might be worth a call. They specalise in modded trucks, if it's a 2nd vehicle and under 12K a year they are pretty good with quotes.

Disclaimer - I've nothing to do with them other than a happy customer - I've 1 custom and 2 classics with them.

They gave me an extra discount for club membership last year, but it had to be a paid club membership so MC didn't count. My membership of Suffolk Land Rover OC did the trick though  :D
