Don't give up mate

we once had an agency driver pull out the yard to go and pick a load up from london.
he managed to find his collection the only problem was when he went into the office. he asked "where's the trailer i'm picking up"
It was still in the yard 200+ miles away.

another agency driver pulled out of our northern yard in a brand new truck, went right straight under a low bridge that is no more than 500 yards away he took out everything from half way up the windscreen.

and thats just the couple i can remember.

Hi James.  Really sad to hear you had such a s*** time because we all know how much this meant to you.  Just remember "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", next time you'll know the things to ask, sat nav, maps etc.

What about driving something smaller 'till you learn the politics of the job?  We had a cement truck driver a while ago and he was rubbish, we were all but ready to reverse the damn truck for him, there must be opening for someone with a bit of skill who is prpared to make the effort.

Keep at it mate, you'll get there.
