leaking flanges!

  hi all,
    ive got a 1990 2.5td 90 which has got a leak from the front prop flange on my transfer box..can the seal be changed with the transfer box in situ..or do i need to take the whole lot out?

  any help would be great,

yes it can. you can even go as far as taking the whole front diff housing off in situ.
