TD5 Battery
« on: April 06, 2010, 20:53:49 »
I think i was mis-sold a battery for my 2000 Auto Disco TD5, can anyone tell me the specs i need to look for and any recomened makes, i dont always do many miles through the week so i really need a quality one that can cope with not being recharged fully very often. I dont want to buy the wrong thing again so any advice is welcome.

Hi Mick

You want the biggest lump of lead you can fit in the gap.

I have managed to fit a 644 battery in my disco 2, but it was a tight squeeze.

I bought from Tayna. Many on here have, and all have said good things. I didn't pay the extra for next day delivery, but it arrived the next day anyway.

I would not bother with the optima type batteries... they are so expensive. Buy a big battery, and when it dies after it normal life, buy another! You will still be quids in.
