Help please!
« on: April 08, 2010, 16:54:26 »
Hi

A few bits need sorting on my disco - please could someone give me some advice on where to start to fix them!!!

1) both the electric sunroofs are not working

2) drivers seatbelt will not slide up and down, it's practically strangling me!!!

3) got a drip/leak on rear passenger side, drips into boot space

4) also got a drip/leak which comes from behind the interior mirror when it pours with rain

5) any idea where I can buy a rubber load liner mat from? I work for Land Rover and it's so frustrating as we are not allowed to buy parts  :(

Sorry to be really stupid - but I am a girlie!!!

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Hiya

Load liner first...

Seems to be close to you with a Warwickshire addy - alternative option (if you know the right people) could be a rubber stable mat... they are thick rubber, so deaden sound and are normally ribbed on one side and 'buttons' on the other side... you chose which side you want uppermost.

Sunroofs and leaks - you don't say where the water is coming from... does it just 'magically' appear out of the headlining?  It makes me wonder if someone has siliconed your sunroofs shut (badly) so that they are now letting water in, but not opening.... kinda the worst of both worlds!  I appreciate that may not be much help - it's really a case of taking the headlining down and sitting inside to spot leaks whilst someone runs a hose over the outside of the car!

Not sure about the seatbelt...

Good luck with the boot liner!
