iTunes advice

Evening,
I bought a song to create into a ringtone on itunes for my iphone (3g). Got it, listened to it works etc BUT as soon as i click on the 'create ringtone' and error message comes up saying that itunes could not connect to the itunes store.... internets on can i can browse through itunes with no problem!
Ideas please?

MAC forum says it only works if you are in the USA, something to do with currency etc, etc so I guess it won't work over this side of the pond.
However, this is how you can make a ring tone. Download Super C from eRightsoft, its free. This will convert any media file format into any other media file format. Convert your tune to wma format. Now download Audacity, also free, and you can edit the song to a suitable bit for the ring tone. Check for a suitable format to save it in or user Super C again to make the conversion.

It only works in USA, the way round it is to change your country location to USA (i did it earlier in the year but cant remember how to do it offhand, but if you google you will find out how to do it).
