The remote for the central locking on my Japanese spec Discovery 1 has died ~ not the battery :(
Being an odd frequancy (315MHz) they're not exactly easy to come by but I can get a brand new replacement remote on eBay for about £60. It strikes me, however, that this might be an opportune moment to install an alarm/immobiliser, neither of which it currently has. I know absolutely nothing about current alarm/immobiliser technology so was wondering if anyone can recommend a good, reasonably priced aftermarket kit that I can fit?
Of course, if anyone has the correct remote lying in a drawer somewhere and would like to exchange it for some drinking vouchers I'd be only too happy to oblige :D
