Leccy Winch capabilities ?
« on: April 23, 2010, 09:36:07 »
It is said electric winch have an advantage over mechanical driven winch because the winch can still be used with a dead engine.

I am wondering what that means in real world. If I had a popular non competition recovery winch like the Superwinch X9 installed in a truck with basic single standard battery setup in say a landrover 90. In worst case with the winch on full load and non running engine, roughly how many seconds of pull can I expect before battery is discharged to an unusable level?

Capacity – 95Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 855

YGD500190
Voltage – 12v
Capacity – 80Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 770

STC4757
Voltage – 12v
Capacity – 70Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 500

STC8587
Voltage – 12v
Capacity – 110Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 750

YGD000271
Voltage – 12v
Capacity – 110Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 920

YGD100860
Voltage – 12v
Capacity – 115Ah
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) – 900

YGD500100
Voltage – 12v
