Must admit, thought easy way out of points on licence, but it is very informative and i have been very aware of my speed ever since course; everyone should take this course.
Yes they do work!!!And i got a fine, posted out to me; 36 in a 30.Then was given option pay £60 fine or £70 for "speed awareness" course, with no points on licence ;).I think you would have heard by now if they was going to send you a fine, i believe they let you know in 2 weeks.Must admit, thought easy way out of points on licence, but it is very informative and i have been very aware of my speed ever since course; everyone should take this course.
Those 65 mph were speedo mph or real mph? With those tyres and the speedo a wee bit off, you could well have been traveling at about 54-55 and your speedo say 65.Just an idea.
I've been on the course.I wish I took the points. I've never had to listed to soooo much rubbish in an afternoon as what was coming out of the instructors mouth as on that course! He tried to redefine simple physics a few times! That car which locks up on the front wheels before it hits the kid? That video which used to be on TV? No one there questioned why it locked up the front with the rear not... lots of miss information like that.Speed had NEVER killed anyone. Stopping has though ;)
Speed does kill and it doesnt matter what speed your doing when the unexpected happens.

nope, never. Go as fast as you want anywhere you want in anything you want. You'll never get hurt doing it.Stopping you want to be more careful with though.
Pedestrian running out on you
I dont think you understand when a pedestrian runs out they are going one direction a vehicle hitting them changes that direction(being pedantic you may claim they instantaneously stop for a micro second before changing direction, but thats splitting hairs and is subject to variables) , an inquest is an eye opener ;)
