During fitment of my new snorkel I discovered the reason why I needed to buy one. I reckon I was pretty close to disaster.
I bet it went a bit better after replacing that air filter!
Good to hear it Mace, and all you have to do now is wash & re-oil the filter on the odd occasion. Have you got the intake on the snorkle facing forwards or backwards?If you have it facing forwards then it acts like an air ram, forcing more air into the engine. The Safari snorkles are better than the Mantec's for this as they have a larger intake but it should work on both. :D
