My mad wife... please read!

Before you click out of this post, please could I ask you to read to the very end... literally two moments of your time? [-o<
My mad wife is about to do Moonwalk.... walking a full marathon length of just over 26 miles through London in her bra in order to raise funds for breast cancer charities...
A friend of ours left it too late to go to the doctor (and was initially misdiagnosed) and is not expected to make it to the end of the year - she has two small children, each a year younger than ours...
Niki has been training hard for this - 7 mile walks every other evening and 14 or so every weekend, whilst today (as I write this...) is the 'dry run' of 21 miles.
I appreciate that times are hard, but really hope that the various folks throughout Mud Club might be able to add a few quid here and there to her fundraising effort, making the blisters and general exhaustion worth it... together, we can help to make a difference!
I'll let Niki tell you why...
"
Dear all
As some of you may already be aware, together with a group of friends, I am in training for the Playtex MoonWalk which starts at midnight on 15 May 2010 in London. This is a 26 mile walk along the London Marathon course.
Did you know:
· 1 in 8 women will experience some form of breast cancer in their life time
· 35 women every day are diagnosed with breast cancer
· 1,000 women a month lose their life to breast cancer
We decided the MoonWalk would be a great way to raise money, raise awareness, get fit and have fun!
Not sure any of us realised just how tough the training was going to be but we are all determined to finish.
I would be grateful for any support to this worthy cause – should you wish to sponsor me please follow the following link:

Many thanks
Niki"
If you have read this far, thank you very much - every donation (particulalrly with GiftAid) will make a very real difference...

John... thank you so much.... every bit helps, it really does!
I put this on Northants 4x4 at the same time and your help means she has added £100 from 4x4 folks in around 8 hours!
I am just so proud of what she is doing... it's not just about the main walk itself but also about the amount of training that she's doing - someone spotted them out walking the other day and said, "that's the hardest thing you will ever do..."
Once again, many thanks - here's hoping that others on MC follow your lead... doesn't have to be a big gesture but lots of them will mount up!
Will keep you updated.

Cancers one of the charities that i tend to lean towards, i know that sounds narrow minded but so many people get touched by it. Me personally off my head i can think of 5 people 1 which is immediate family (grandmother) albeit not breast cancer but still the C word.
Come on people if as many people who have viewed this thread gave a small amount each x that by 90,100,120.... adds up.
All the best
