OK so whats next !!!

Well thanks to MRM Services i have a lovely one ten on the road with 12 months MOT
but what next ???
Well in one week of driving him I am convinced that a 200 or 300 tdi engine would be ideal
I didn't realise that the 2.5nad would be so thirsty of the juice!
Its a good solid engine though i will give it that.
What are peoples opinions or what have you done to yours !!!

Hi
2.5 N/A thirsty? Lacking in power maybe but most people can get 30ish out of a N/A. The 200 I had in my previous 110 CSW would give 30ish all the time regardless but my current 300 110 CSW only does 25 no matter how far or carefully I drive even after cat and EGR removed.
200 or 300 is a good mod, easily fitted and plenty around. It will mate to your existing gearbox but a modified exhaust will need to be sourced unless you can find a Defender 200 (different turbo setup). With the extra power you'll find you run out of gears due to the very low ratio transfer box fitted to the N/A. Simple fix source a defender tdi transfer or (like I'm about to do) fit a Disco one.
I'm sure plenty of people will be along soon to voice their opinions; you'll just have to make your own mind up in the end.
Hope this helps
Regards
Tony

Cheers guys
Could also do with getting some rear seats in him
I'm quite liking the disco dickie seats that you got in the back of Bessie Mick
Some wimdows in the back would be handy too. I understand now what people have said to me in the past about not being able to see when they are reversing or when they are at junctions.
I did think about the rear pop out windows from a three door disco, just as something a little unique but i dont think it would look right on the 110
