The Escort bit brings back memories Paul.My Capri was always doing it. Damn plastic threds on the fitting. They were also different colours across the ranges. It's good fun using a screw driver to change gear and everything had to be done in reverse. So first was actually right and down :) instead of left and up :)What with bonnet catches failing it was certainly fun. A Capri bonnet certainly makes a big dent in the roof and it trashes the "power bulge"!And digs a big hole in both ends of the scuttle panel.Ed
It's nice, though, to have a proper length gearstick again :) and nice that the gear knob stays put!! :lol:

That use to happen all the time when I was yonger and drove Ford Escorts. :lol: Never heard of it happening to a Discovery before.
