Discovery 2 TD5 Rock sliders
« on: May 05, 2010, 21:08:16 »
I fancy a set of rock sliders to replace my flimsy side steps and was looking at these on ebay

Guardian landrover discovery 2 rocksliders rock slider on eBay (end time 30-May-10 14:43:33 BST)

Anyone got them and what do you all think of them? Been looking around for some for a while but they are thin on the ground for Disco 2's

They look pretty good mate, well done.  I envy people who can just nip out to the shed and knock something like that up in there spare time.....Im f***ing useless with stuff like that.

BUT give me a computer or circut board and bobs ya uncle

How much to knock some up??  may be interested once i get over the shock of paying for my new clutch

well im f***ing useless with computers !

im up for it

as the d2 is my every day work bus and dosent go off road iv not chassis mounted them , they are only welded to the sills unlike the set i built for the rrc offroader that are chassis mounted

i will redesign and make them chassis mounted

would it be better for them to bolt to the chassis ?

mine are not powder coated just painted , what would people rather ? can find out about powder coating or can come sprayed / unpainted ?

think if i built 10 sets i could sell them pretty easy

Sorry mate I've went with the Gaurdian ones, The wife went halfes as a gift  :D
They attatch to the chassis and sills though it looks like i have to drill some holes in the outriggers to do it.  Not had a chance to have a propper look yet hopefully get that done tommorow.
