Hi there
I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice on the following:
My farther in law bought a 04 TD5 90 a couple of months ago, and he has a strange noise he can't work out what it is. He says there in no noise when the vehicle is in neutral but as soon as you put the vehicle into 1st gear you get a drumming / whurring noise until you hit 10mph then when you change into 2nd gear you get the same noise until you hit 20mph, the same happens through the gears until you hit 60mph in 5th gear then the noise becomes really loud. He is wondering if its something to do with the dual mass fly wheel, has anybody ever had any problems like this?
Any help greatly appreciated!

So no noise in neutral, wat about if you dip the clutch when stood still? does the noise start when still stationary or when you move off?
There are a few things it could be.

The noise doesn't start until you reach 10mph in first gear, it seems to be related to engine speed?

Brake drum?
Prop uj?
The noise from DMF is a rattle taking up drive, so would not think it to be that.
