keith has yours got air con as i had this with my green one three head gaskets later found out it was a build up of crap between the 2 rads just undo the top retainer spreed the uprights enough to tilt the rad back abit and check could save ££££££s
I know a guy who had masses of grief with overheating, new head, rad the lot. Turned out he had a V8 fan blade on the TDi viscous hub, when t got hot and locked up it blew harder, forcing the hot air back into the rad.Worth checking :doh:Buy I'd agree, having tried radflush on my LSE, it makes no difference so I fitted a new rad and viscous hub, job jobbed

Also, I have noticed that my Discovery black smokes more since the head was replaced. Could this be be related or am I just getting paranoid!!Any additional info would be greatly received. Many thanks,Sogster.
im getting similar issues went to portsmouth from salisbury had to cruise at 50mph with heaters on to keep just above half way i then flushed the outside rad it had mud straw and what other it had there, then went to epsom from salisbury and it sat at halfway at 60mph so slight improvement but still cant do 70mph, my dad suggested and i might do it is to get twin elec fans and convert it from viscous. may solve the issue?
