Found the answer to my rust problem

Well after the hassle of the last mot and the rear end rotting in front of my eyes thanks the the last owner having a speed boat and living near the sea. The rear quater of the chassic was rotting from the inside out and rear wheel arches rusting faster than i could re plate them i found the answer to my problems..
 I got part ex it for a new one. went to look at a nice td5 disco with face lift and bought ........................................................................... a jjjjjjjjjjaaaaaaaagggggg instead nice and comfey just not that good off road.

I like jags just put off that it's just a ford mondeo with a different body though. Least it won't have had it's bum dipped in the sea by previous owner.

It shouldn't put you off - the mondeo and X type are both great cars - we've owned several of both from new and never had any gripes.

Nice colour by the way - which engine is in it?

 I worked for jaguar when the x type was released  :roll:   Sure kept me busy in warranty dept  :lol:  But in fairness after the "first of a kind " had there issues sorted they did become more user friendly, Very good value for money second hand nowdays  :clap:
TD5 with a few Tweaks ;o)
a bit more fuel friendly than the V8

The Mondeo is a damn good car, better than a BMW these days.

Must say its a fab car. It may have a ford running gear but is its not a ford inside. Its the 2.5 v6 auto. with full black leather interior and all the toys. and oh so comfy.

And yes think i am getting old. Anyone seen any leather driving gloves and were did i put that trilby hat. Ha ha

Ive got a better car than the jag.....more reliable.....more character....it mite not be powerful but its also good offroad
