right guys have aquired a engine oil cooler rad for a v8 will this be ok to use to cool the auto box if placed behind the main rad on the passenger side?

So a stand-alone oil cooler (that would be the optional 3.5 cooler) fitted behind the water rad.  It will work yes and AFAIK the 3.5 auto didn't use the water radiator at all, the 3.9 did.
