Good Manners Cost Nothing!
« on: October 01, 2010, 21:53:59 »
I have recently given (free of charge) a steering wheel knob to a fellow Mud Clubber - I even paid for the postage.

Would you believe that the miserable git has not even had the decency to say thank you

I remembered yesterday, and as soon as I did I PM'd you.
Very sorry, yes the usual BS applies with work after work and my gearbox and transfer box sh*ting on me but thats no excuse.

Again sorry
My wife can't wrestle but you should see her box.

Hi John,

No worries mate - thanks for getting back to me. Glad to see it was useful. I originally got it for my Series 1 (which is for sale if anybody is interested) but the wheel was too thin. Tried it on my Disco but never got to grips with it - pardon the pun.

Take care

Rob.

Why? Lack of use really.

I know it needs a head gasket which would limit its use but even with the gasket fixed I don't have the time to get any real use out of it. I've got four projects already - Millie, Brenda, the house and the Disco and that's without counting teaching! Besides that, a Series 1 and a huge pile of spares makes a huge dent in my otherwise pristine garage! Mentally, I've already spent the money it will re-coup.

Fancy an extra one for the collection?

I've had a wide range of interest and vaious offers/methods of payments/swaps/time scales, etc so I've decided to put it on ebay with a 99p starting price and no reserve! That way it will sell for what it is worth.

Happy bidding.
