4x4 Response Network.
« on: November 15, 2010, 20:00:13 »
Last year was one of the coldest for years, many of us gave up our time to go out in the January snow and help others. If you didnt know already there is a network of 4x4 volunteers that has been formed around the UK to bring together 4x4 drivers when and where needed. Have a look at the national website and see if you are interested http://www.4x4response.info/ then follow the link http://www.4x4response.info/?pid=map to find your local group. Now is the time to think about joining rather than waiting until we are needed.

Cheers ... FF ...

I done my BORDA course last weekend with Land Rover Experiance Chilterns its an all day course wich teaches you how to drive 4x4 sensibly and safely aswell as showing the best way to get around obstacles you are tested through out the day on what you've been taiught and you have to have a requal every 3 years.

Its expensive however i learnt alot and well worth the mony especialy if your driving 4x4's for work and it gives you a certificate of competence

Is the BORDA training tricky or a case of take it onbord and be serious and you'll sail though... only reason i ask is that im still fairly new to off road driving and maps arnt my strong point would this be a hinderance?

John i i think your approach to driving(slow, steady and in control) is very good, i'd rather have you helping me out than some tool spinning his wheels and hitting everything flat out
