Breathers

Hi All
 
Had mot Friday Passed with 2 advisorys 1 was Nearside Headlight deteriation but not affecting light output, yesterday took light out to clean and seal, While I had the light of I noticed some breather pipes behind the headlight,

would these be engine or axel breathers and is that the normal place for them,
not found anything in the books and not had time to searc for any post regarding breathers

the car is a 2000 TD5 Discovery 2 ES Auto

Has it got front fog lights? Seem to remember reading somewhere that these have breathers... have you tried tracing them back?

It does have fogs in the lower valence, I didn't even think to trace them :oops: :oops: :oops:
I will trace at weekend

axle one exits on the n/s inner wing and the gearbox and transfer box ones exit on the bulkhead about levell with the top of the cylinder head..alan

that explains the one I found when changed the Fuel pressure regulater hooked over the heater pipes.

The ones I was orginally on about were fog light breathers but they are no longer there as I now no longer have the Valence, chopped it off after it split, now have no fog lights :grin:
