What have 'the facts' got to do with it? For most of the anti's the only facts are:

a) It is easy is it to get on this bandwagon

b) It is easy to get off when it all goes pear shaped

c) It'll make you one of the in-crowd amongst the anorack brigade

d) The jargon and rhetoric is easy to learn without any technical knowledge of what you are talking about.

My thoughts exactly, and if they were too stupid to see a "huge 4x4" then god help them anyway.

The ITV (MOT) is valid for either 6 o 12 months depending on the condition and age of the vehicle, on new vehicles the first ITV last for 2years

Again, Garin, Bull.

Only public service vehicles (taxis, ambulances, etc...) or those used comercially to transport goods ( and that's where my cousin's 88 fall) are suposed to be ITVd semestrally.

Even an '84 Land Cruiser has its MOT every year on the year.

If the vehicle has been registered before Jan 1st 1980, it is exempt, but I don't know what the situation would be if you re-registered it in Spain.
