The scum who did this need their nuts loosening with a pair of size tens :twisted:Have you checked if any cctv is available, a small chance I know?
Did have a quick google for 'losening 4x4 wheel nuts' and came across a few forums where it's a recommended (is that the right word?) way of upsetting 4x4 drivers...

To be honest it is more likely that the wheel nuts loosened and thats why you lost the whell. You state you drove from the deep to Goole on the M62. If the nuts had been removed in Hull I'm sure you would have noticed sooner. Fitting bigger tyres can exagerate these types of problems which is why we should regularly check wheel nut tightness. Its a common(ish) issue with HGVs and some times the only warning they get is when the wheel comes past the truck. I personally know one Landrover ower who had a similar incident - on the M62.
