Apart from the obvious of cutting the old hanger off the chassis and welding the new 110 part (LR540B) on are there any other problems in making this swap; i.e. is the chassis on a 110 deeper than on a Range Rover?
I have a need to fit 110 rear springs to cope with the weight.
Anyone done this modification before?
Does anyone have a better than working knowledge of Land Rover springs as I have a weight and height issue with the Classic and don't want to go down the aftermarket Spring Route again.
I'd personally bin the 110 rear springs idea. Cutting, welding, fitting new spring seats on the axles, more springs. There might be clearance issues with your tyre on the spring seat depending on set up, there might be issues at the axle end too with the larger diameter spring seat.
Why not just fit some heavy duty standard height springs?
If you've got loads of weight on, Police spec red & whites might fix it too?
What's making your car so heavy?
:D
