Making a 110 roof rack

As business is a bit slow at the moment i thought I would have an attempt at making an aluminium roof rack for our 110.
I have some nice interlocking sections for the base, and some 50 x 25 mm box section for the frame. Just need to learn how to weld alli !!!
I will post some pix when it is finished.

I would love to see a low profile rack for the 110 that hugs the roof contour akin to those fitted to some Aussie military landies.

welding the flat parts was fairly easy, i battled a bit on the 90 degree corners for some reason.
It looks ok and it wont fall apart, the main thing with welding aluminium is that it has to be 100% clean.

Hi Mike
Yep 1st attempt at tig. I had a bit of a practice and one of the welders gave me a few tips. Once I got the hang of it it went quite well. I just need to clean the boot marks off the top of the roofrack !!!
