Spring advice pls.....
« on: August 22, 2011, 18:45:33 »
Hi & thanks in advance. I have currently got the bearmach HD blue springs +2 but with the amount of weight i carry in the rear of the vehicle it seems to bounce around abit to much for my liking.
Could anyone recommend a super heavy duty spring set +2 which i could purchase. I was planning to leave the front as they are.
any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Matt.

I would stick with the Bearmach springs and fit a good set of shocks instead.
OME or Decarbon are good un's.
I had Bearmach Hd springs on my Disco for years and they were as solid as a rock.

as above the springs take the load but its you shocks that dampen the travel a good quality gas shock like oem , decarbon or as ive got terafirma pro sport , and my discos allways got 1/2 tonne in the boot also does its fair share of towing no problems.

cheers guys, for the advice. I was thinking of changing the shocks to the big bore's and then to change the springs but I will get the shocks first and go from there,

cheers again.

UPDATE: Went and treated my self to a set or Terrafirma Big Bore's (TF124) and all I would say is "what a difference". I am now looking at changing the front shocks.
Cheers guys for your reply's.

110 rear springs are totally different!! The diameter on rear springs is larger, fronts are same diameter, different spring rates,

The terrifirma kit i got was for disco/defender or range.

Hd springs and big bore shocks

Front springs may be a bit too strong but the back is excellent?
