I am contemplating a manual to auto conversion.
You will need the engine backplate as they differ from auto and manual.
Obviously clutch and master/slave cylinders, flywheel, pedal box and gubbins.
Gearbox and crossmember. An engine hoist and jacks etc.
Theres a fair bit to do on the conversion but it can all be done by the competent DIY mechanic.
I have done one before and found it much easier to take the engine and box out in one and do the nut and bolt work on the deck.  In fact it was easier to do the peddal box with the engine out.
I love to get my landy down and dirty

im still undecided which way to go... my kickdown is stuck at the moment and the box would benefit form a recon.... but i dont know whether to convert it or not as i like the auto.
its fly by wire, will i have to change that too if i go for the manual conversion?
i could just get another auto box off ebay for 3 or 4 hundred, and a recon will be more like 5 or 6 hundred. obviously id change the box myself so there is no labour involved..... what to do!! lol

I imagine you would have to change the centre console too.

Hi, I have a 300 manual, have had a few bits off it and I am going to weigh in the rest, I do not have the time to strip it right out. The box is good, the springs to centre
the lever need replacing, but everything you need to convert is there. Some trim, cyl head, wings are are off, as is steering bars. Take the car is easiest, scrap value is 200 ish, its yours for that,
