Hi all.

About 3 weeks back my hand brake warning lights started staying on because the lever was not seating properly. I took it apart and found the inner cable was pushing the lever up. I adjusted the drum as per the owners book and also adjusted the outer cable so the lever sat down. Now it is doing it again, is there another issue of which I'm getting these symptoms that I need to find or is more adjustment needed?

Could it simply be the rubber gaiter pushing the lever up? Try taking it of for a while to see. Mine doesn't have the warning light so I don't know how they are mounted. Could the switch bracket be 'tweaked' a little to set it closer to the handle (as long as it is only a handle issue and the brake isn't binding)?

I had thought the gaiter may be involved so I removed it to no effect. I have re adjusted the outer will see if it lasts. I'm now wondering if I need to strip the drum mechanism down in case the far end of the cable has issues.

I had to strip, clean and re-grease the adjuster a number of times while I owned my 110. It always started sticking after a while. But it did get dunked in gloop quite often!

Don't have the problem with the 90, it has a disc brake fitted. Awesome piece of kit.
