I've finaly gone for comfort
« on: September 17, 2012, 20:52:59 »
Ive finaly gone for comfort over looks. Bought myself a Disco 3 to replace my TD5 defender.
I gotta say, Much as I loved my Defender the Disco is something else  :cheesy: heated seats for her indoors, and cruise control and its just so smooth and quiet.
The Disco's got to earn its keep though so it will be getting just as dirty as the old Defender. I've already put a set of all terrains on and I'm planning a few more add ons in the near future.

Very nice, a mate has one and I've driven a few and whilst capable they feel Luke you are not involved in the process of driving beyond pointing the steering wheel if you know what I mean.

yes it is a bit like that. But thats what makes it so nice. Add to that I towed our 2 tonne caravan down to Cornwall a few weeks back and it was effortless. By far the best tow vehicle I've ever had.
I still have the Defender sat on the drive whilst I try to sell it and I have not driven it now for three weeks and have no desire to.
The only thing I miss is the cheery Landy wave as nobody waves at shiney Disco 3's

I have driven the daughter in laws and would be nice if i did any distance driving but it is a kind of sterile feeling ,my son has a Supercharged Rangie V8 now i could drive that all day long ive driven most of the cars out there in 46 years of driving and that Rangie is up there with my old Z28 Camero with 5.4 Hemi lump installed.
