90, Bottom Shock mounts
« on: January 11, 2013, 19:04:32 »
Evening all...

Has anyone replaced a bottom shock mount, just one of mine decided it was time to part company with the axel yesterday... Cant seem to find any fitting guides round the net..

YRM make them if you havnt got one yet.
Cut the remains off with an angle grinder and then grind down to remove any high points, then weld the new one onto the axle.
Very easy to do and wont take long either.

Do some measuring first and line it up with the other side so you weld it in the right place and at the right angle.

I know you can get the mounts, just check how thin the axle casing has become due to rust and get it  really clean before you weld.
