Why not contact the powers that be and see if you could take on the rep title if diebok is busy and start the local meet up again ?
Word of warning though if a lot of members start turning up every month it can get hard and time consuming especially trying to organise days out
make it clear from day one that its everyone's input that makes the meetings and trips out and that's it's not just down to the rep
