Recently sold my take-off CSW rear sliding side windows and had to ship them to the new owner. Was concerned that they would be smashed by the courier throwing them around as they do and I didn't want to fork out for a pallet or crate service.
First I took a bunch of detailed photographs and close-ups shots to record their condition in the event of problems.

Next I roughly cut up three sheets of scrap hard board.
One sheet between the pair of windows.

Then made a windows sandwich with the other two sheets...

Made use of the works strap banding machine to pull the sandwich tight together.

The hardboard should protect the glass from most knocks and pokes.
Plenty of large bubble-wrap was then applied to form a cushion to help absorb corner blows and drop damage. Packaging tape used to secure and reinforce the bubble wrap.

Another layer of protection in the form of stiff cardboard. Helps stop the bubble getting torn up and forms a nice surfaces for the outer shell that is coming later...

BLACK WRAP TIME! Hides the mess within !

and more tape and strap banding...

Then finally all labeled up and shipped via 24 hour service for £5.80.

Good news is that the windows got there all safe and sound.
