A Nice 110CSW For Me
« on: May 07, 2005, 15:50:07 »
I went to the Huddersfield Land Rover Centre this morning to have a look at a couple of 110 CSW's listed on their website.

The number one vehicle was a 'P' plated Epsom Green, with lots of extra goodies; Kenlowe pre-heater, GKN overdrive!!

The other was a'N' plater, but it was ex-JCB & even had a patch stuck on one door!

In my opinion they're a bit overpriced. In March I got a R plate 110 SW with 82,000 on the clock for just under £10,000. from Midland 4x4. £8,995 seems a lot for an N plate with more than 100,000. Admittedly mine's not a county and not green but it can't make that big a difference.  :D

I know, but, they've a bit of a reputation to keep, so I don't think they sell 'tat' (Except in their 'Caveat Emptor' section)

Having thought about it, it seemed a bit lower than its neigbour, I think the BFG A/T's might be on 236/70's?

They've got some nice Range Rovers as well, they've just sold a 'X' plate with a total of 41,000miles
There's a 'P' plater with 26,000miles in the showroom

Both in condition to match.

Best of all is chassis#1. That is superb!

I agree I've only been once, and that was maybe 10 years ago, while looking at a 109 for my brother, I pulled one out rigger off with my hand, and crushed another to dust. Both had a fresh coat of sticky undercoat on.

I was not impressed. However this is a one off, they could have taken the 109 as a P\X or whatever, and may not be down to them. I suppose it's the same whoever you buy from, look twice, buy once.

I'd rather walk away from a bargain, than saddle myself with a wreck. That said I when I finally find a decent TDi 90 for the right money, I'll find loads of things wrong with it but still buy it cos I like it  :D
